On June 1, students, alumni and faculty from HKUST joined more than 11,000 viewers online at the "Cloud Concert" to celebrate the University’s 30th anniversary.
Supported by the HKUST EMBA Alumni Council, and co-organized by the HKUST Business School Mainland Office and the University Development and Alumni Affairs Office, the concert featured eight performances selected from over 30 submissions by the HKUST community, including vocal and instrumental music, dance and band performance.
Apart from offering a creative duet rendition of "Rolling Yangtze River" conveying heroic spirit with vocal and saxophone music, EMBA alumna CHEN Yingting and MBA alumnus WANG Xia recounted their happy moments studying at HKUST. The concert also showcased, among others, a captivating Latin dance performance by undergraduate students Naveen CHAN and Jasper WONG, both members of the Hong Kong Dancesports Regional Squad, as well as a performance of the melodious traditional song "Jasmine" by EMBA alumna GUO Beilei, her son JIN Weiye and Engineering alumna YIN Chanyuan.
The online concert aimed to bring together members of the HKUST family across different locations to mark the University’s 30th anniversary.
