The COVID-19 crisis has caused an unprecedented disruption to our lives, especially for our graduating class of 2020. The crisis has deprived them of invaluable opportunities to learn and experiment in the classroom, broaden their horizons through global exchanges, and engage in meaningful interaction with their peers. Many of them are troubled over their career prospects after graduation.
We ask your help now to get through this difficult time together as an HKUST community. Our alumni are exemplary leaders who have weathered all sorts of crises, from SARS to the dot-com bubble burst to numerous financial crises. We thus appeal to you to help our newest cohort navigate through this latest challenge by joining HKUST UNITED, an initiative to connect current students and fresh graduates with alumni from diverse fields of expertise who can support their career development. We are looking for alumni to offer:
- Career advice
- Internship / job opportunities
- Startup support
