In 2013, the HKUST Business School partnered with Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s leading producers of energy and chemicals, to develop an MBA program in Saudi Arabia. The partnership sought to develop talent and meet the growing need for quality business education in the region.
Their final cohort of 57 students visited HKUST for their last course and graduation ceremony in June 2019, where Founding Director of the Program Prof Steven DEKREY congratulated all graduates and hoped that the Program has enlightened them with a thirst for knowledge, the courage to evolve and the ability to lead with a purpose. Mr Fahad K AL-DHUBAIB, General Manager (Public Affairs) of Saudi Aramco, encouraged graduates to be the bridge to Aramco's future success in his congratulatory speech, while Mr John WOOD, Founder of Room to Read, shared his lesson learnt in his career switch as social entrepreneur, in his keynote address.
With the conclusion of the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2019, the HKUST Business School has nurtured more than 120 MBA Saudi Arabia graduates. They will continue contributing to the development of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
