First-Ever Alumni Week Reconnects the Business School Community

With the theme of “Reconnect”, the School has organized the first-ever “HKUST SBM Alumni Week” to engage and reinforce the bond with our 32,000+ alumni across 90+ nationalities.

As digital technology and innovation continue to evolve in financial services and across other industries in today’s shifting business environment, the School has organized two enrichment seminars in the Alumni Week:

Moderated by HKUST Immediate Past President Prof. Wei SHYY (right), this seminar by Mr. Charles LI, Founder and Chairman of Micro Connect and Former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, provided insights on how to connect global capital with China’s micro and small businesses through digital innovation.

These prominent speakers shared thought-provoking insights and future-ready knowledge on trending topics, attracting a record high of 1,800+ alumni participating in-person and virtually.

In addition, at the Alumni Homecoming Fun Day, 400+ alumni and their families came back to the beautiful HKUST campus to rekindle their fond memories and enjoy a series of fantastic events and activities, including a cappella performance, alumni sharing talk, drawing workshops and DIY classes.
