In April, a group of family business owners, their next generations, and professionals working for family businesses and family offices engaged in an insightful discussion on the challenges and opportunities for family businesses and family offices. The seminar was hosted by the HKUST Business School and its Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office, and conducted by Professor Denise H. KENYON-ROUVINEZ, a renowned expert, educator and book author in the field.
Prof. Kenyon-Rouvinez shed light on the major issues facing the evolvement of family businesses and family offices in the changing business landscape. The seminar saw active discussion on the potential developments of family businesses and family offices, as well as stimulating insights into sustaining their growth.
With the importance of family businesses and family offices in the economic development of Hong Kong, the region and the world, HKUST Business School has identified family business as one of its strategic focus areas, led by the research and education effort of the Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office. The Center has long been conducting research, publishing articles, producing cases and providing courses related to Asian family businesses and family offices.
