After a disaster, emergency services may be unavailable for 72 hours or more. One needs the knowledge, tools and resources to help oneself and the loved ones to survive through emergencies and disasters.

HKUST Alumni Association Northern California Chapter is co-hosting a Personal Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Jun 9 (Sunday). This workshop will be led by Sunnyvale Public Safety (Sunnyvale Emergency Response Volunteers).

Topics that will be covered in the workshop:

• What to prepare for emergencies and disasters
• How to prepare oneself, the family and home
• How to prioritize the preparations
