MBAAA Teams for Asian Charity Services Hackathon
HKUST MBA Alumni Association (MBAAA) is recruiting for the Asian Charity Services (ACS) Sprint Hackathon, a one-day event that combines volunteering, networking, and case-solving!
ACS is a registered charity that aims to serve nonprofit organizations by providing them with pro-bono consulting services; as per their mission statement: "We serve those who serve". Volunteers at ACS are experienced professionals with 5+ years in fields of finance, consulting, legal, media etc. The Sprint Hackathon is the only curriculum under ACS that does not require more than one day commitment - a perfect opportunity to give back, network, and learn.
About the format:
There will be randomly assigned 25 teams of 4 volunteers, each team will need to come up with a pitch for the NGO assigned, and will be judged by a panel at the end of the day. This year's theme is - "Empowering Communities for Active Ageing".
HKUST MBAAA members have been offered 20 seats (i.e. 5 teams). Registrants may choose to be grouped within the MBAAA volunteers or with volunteers from the open group.
