Year 2020 started with quite some challenges and disruptions to the whole world. But as the Chinese saying goes, with challenges always come opportunities.

In light of these newly emerged opportunities, the HKUST Business School China Office presents a new event series entitled "Mastering the Future - Online Dialogue with HKUST Professor" with 10 prominent HKUST Professors from different disciplines.  

On March 11, our former Dean Prof KC Chan will share on “Road to Financial Innovations with the Latest Technology”. Prof. KC Chan, now Chairman of WeLab virtual bank, a leading fintech company, and an Adjunct Professor at HKUST, was the Dean of HKUST Business School (2002-2007) and former Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury for HKSAR Government (2007-2017). 

The "Mastering the Future” series runs online on WeChat, every week for 10 weeks to end of April. It is conducted in Putonhua and Simplified Chinese. Please click here for the full schedule of the program.  

Last Saturday on 7 March, Prof Weijia Wen from HKUST’s Department of Physics and currently the Director of HKUST Shenzhen Functional Materials Laboratory, shared about “Entrepreneurship with Condensed Matter Physics”. Transcripts for the talk can be found here (in simplified Chinese).
