Join MBAAA Dragons for the new season in 2019

MBAAA Dragons2019

What is a great way to get fit after a long festive season and do it while meeting other HKUST Alumni? Dragon Boat of course!

HKUST MBA Alumni Association (MBAAA) Dragons have kicked off its recruitment for the 2019 season. The team would be competing in up to 4 races (including Tuen Ng Festival) with training sessions starting on March 3. The Dragons have been paddling for 15 years and with a team motto of "Forty Hands, One Heart". They look forward to having a fun and successful season in 2019.

The first practice will be on March 3 (Sunday) at Tseung Kwan O from 09:00 - 11:00 (time to be confirmed - subject to the availability of the venues). There will be 17 weeks of practice on Sunday mornings at either Tseung Kwan O or Stanley this year, with a professional coach and an experienced captain/coaching team. The Dragons will compete in a minimum of three races, the largest of which being the Stanley International Dragon Boat Race on the Tuen Ng Festival (June 7). It is also welcomed for the team members to join the land training sessions to increase their physical fitness in order to have great performance on the water. All members will receive a racing jersey.

The team is open to MBA Alumni, MBA Students, Faculty, other HKUST Alumni and guests of alumni. A team membership fee of HKD1,900 for HKUST Alumni/Students/Faculty and HKD2,000 for guests will be collected in order to finance the team's training, race entry fees, and team jerseys.
