How good the pairing of cheese with California wine can be?


When it comes to wine pairing, the first thing comes to mind is surely cheese. In this California Wine Month, HKUST Alumni Wine Association (AWA) is having a California wine and cheese pairing workshop with cheese expert Ivy Ng and celebrity chef Walter Kei.

Other than introducing different kinds of cheese to pair with wine, participants will also get to participate in Chef Walter’s cooking demonstration of different fusion dishes with both local and western ingredients.

Walter Kei
Walter is a travel, food and wine columnist who is also interested in interior design, arts, photography, lifestyle and different kinds of culture.

He has been the host of a travelling program and a cooking demonstration in TVB Television Broadcast Limited,  NOW TV  “Kei’s World” and RTHK TV “830 Magazine’s” and he was once a food program DJ in radio as well.

Ivy Ng
Ivy wanted to create a platform to promote cheese and wine culture to both connoisseurs, corporate clients and hospitality professionals. Set up in 2018, Cheese & Wine HK is now also an accredited provider of Academy of Cheese Levels 1 & 2 courses. Aside from her passion for cheese, Ivy is an Official Bourgogne Wine Ambassador and a Certified WSET Educator.

Remarks

The workshop would be conducted in Cantonese supplemented with English.
