Ms Susanna Chui Yung Cheung
Susanna is a Hong Kong based independent journalist focusing on international affairs. She writes columns and commentaries for several newspapers and magazines both at home and abroad. She is also the author of six books based on her past reporting experiences around the globe, which include “ The Frontline of The Middle East” and “The Mediterranian Spring”. She has obtained the Human Rights Award and the Hong Kong Book Prize.

Mr Jason Wai Cheong Yip
Jason is the Community Engagement Director of MWYO. Prior to this, he was the Regional Head of Unit at the government affairs & donor relations division of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), covering the Greater China, Malaysia and Singapore. During his development in the organization, Jason worked in the headquarters in Geneva to develop dialogue and mobilize resources with the member states to the Geneva Convention. In addition, he also stationed in Palestine, Afghanistan and Myanmar under the capacity of the ICRC Delegate. He was responsible for developing and implementing ICRC’s humanitarian initiatives in the battlefield. He had also experience in emergence relief, e.g. Sichuan’s earthquake in 2008 and migrant crisis in Andaman Sea in 2015. Jason has extensive experience in security analysis and building dialogues with non-state military groups.

Jason earned his master’s degree in International Relations from Waseda University in Japan and a BBA degree from the University of Hong Kong. He started his career as an analyst in Goldman Sachs. Jason is a sport lover with a strong passion for trekking and playing volleyball. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he speaks fluent French, Japanese, English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

In 2018, Jason was awarded a Medal of Honour by the HKSAR Government and was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons by JCI HK. He was also a speaker at the TEDxPetalingStreet in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Yau Shing Mu
Mr Yau was the Under Secretary for Transport and Housing between August 2008 and June 2012, and was reappointed the post on September 15, 2012. Before joining the HKSAR Government, Mr Yau had been a journalist for 25 years. After having served Radio Television Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Standard, he joined the Hong Kong Economic Times in 1992 and held the post of Executive Chief Editor between 2000 and 2008. He also served on the executive committees of both the Hong Kong Journalists Association and the Hong Kong Press Council. Mr Yau has received a number of journalist prizes, among them Best Hong Kong Newspaper Reporter (General News) awarded by the Hong Kong Newspapers Society in 1986. He has edited and published books on various social issues such as youth problems and Hong Kong's economic prospects. Mr Yau holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
