France's Strategy to Seize Opportunities in AI Development - A Talk by Cédric Villani
The French Chamber and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau with the support of Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAiRE) at HKUST are honored to welcome Mr Cédric Villani to share the main findings of his report on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI often sounds like a promise for the future, but we should't fool ourselves: this revolution is happening here and now.
Applications are already multiplying and directly affecting our daily lives: from image recognition and self-driving cars, to disease detection and content recommendations.
The radical transformation is both an immense responsibility and an unprecedented opportunity. Notably so for French companies and entrepreneurs.
To make most of it, French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe asked Cédric Villani, renowned Mathematician and Deputy for the Essonne, to head up a taskforce on AI which deliver its findings in March 2018 after six months of meetings with experts, benchmarks and surveys.
Join this exclusive opportunity to hear from an enthusiastic expert in the field who will break down this complex issue and elaborate on France & Europe's ambitious strategy for AI development.
