He has delivered and led technology planning and delivery using cloud technology, data analytics, AIOT, enterprise digitalization in different industries.

Peter serves as Head of IT at CALC, a leading aircraft leasing company in China. Prior to his current role, he held the position of IT General Manager at HK Express and IT Director at HK Airlines. With over 20 years of experience in IT, Peter leverages AI, big data, and cloud technologies to drive business innovation with a strong focus on a user-centric approach. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Management from Wuhan University. He has also enrolled in HKUST’s MBA Program and completed Tsinghua University’s Global FinTech Program.

Yunfei joined BYD in 2004 and has taken on key roles in channel development, market planning, key account expansion, brand marketing, and public relations. With extensive experience in brand development and PR communications, he has been instrumental in transforming BYD's brand image and promoting public recognition of its technological positioning. Yunfei holds a marketing degree from Tongji University and an EMBA from HKUST.

Leo (EMBA, 2022) – an academic prodigy passionate about continuous learning – is enthusiastic about using his alumni status to support talent development and scientific research in Hong Kong. In August 2022, he successfully facilitated a cooperation agreement between HKUST and Alibaba Cloud to nurture new talent in data analysis, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.

Chris brings nearly two decades of experience in corporate strategy, PR, and corporate branding. Before founding iMpact, he was Senior Director in Public Relations at Huawei. He has lived in China for 20 years. Fluent in Chinese, Chris thrives in helping bridge business and cultural relations between China and the West. He holds an MBA from HKUST and a BA from Zhengzhou University.

Franz co-founded YOHO Group in 2013, a pioneering force in Hong Kong’s e-commerce sector. He graduated with a degree in Economics at HKUST and embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by launching a B2B business focused on trading and distribution of consumer electronics and home appliances. From a startup into a publicly listed company, YOHO now serves over 1.2 million registered users. Harnessing its tech-driven e-commerce platform and AI capabilities, the company delivers personalized shopping experiences and enhanced customer support, catering to the varied consumer needs of the new retail era.

Professor CHEN Zhanhui

Prof. Chen joined HKUST Business School in 2019. An expert in the field, Prof. Chen specializes in theoretical and empirical asset pricing, macroeconomic finance, insurance, FinTech, and sustainable finance. He has received multiple teaching and research awards, including the Franklin Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2021, the Fubon Paper Award 2020 by the International Conference of Taiwan Finance Association, and the Best Paper in Asset Pricing by SFS Cavalcade Asia-Pacific in 2018, among others. He holds a PhD in Economics from Tsinghua University and a PhD in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Jin is a professor of economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she researches and teaches international macroeconomics, technology competition and the Chinese economy. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism, which was selected as one of the must-read books for every board member by Fortune Magazine in 2023, and the Best Summer Book of 2023 by Financial Times. She has also contributed op-eds to major global newspapers and magazines. With a BA, MA, and PhD from Harvard, she previously taught at Yale and Berkeley and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.

Dr. MENG Zhaoli
Senior Lecturer, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
Former Dean, Micro Connect Research Institute

Dr. Meng graduated from the National University of Singapore and has over a decade of research experience in the fields of the internet, fintech, public welfare, and corporate management. She has an extensive professional background, having established research institutes at leading Chinese tech companies such as Tencent, JD Finance, and Micro Connect. She has worked at globally renowned consulting firms such as Deloitte and Accenture, and also served as Deputy Secretary-General of Tencent Charity and a consultant for the Gates Foundation's social impact assessment project.
