JIN Keyu

Prof. JIN Keyu
Global Economist
Professor of Finance, HKUST
Chair of the Center for Macro-Finance and Geo-economics, HKUST Institute for Financial Research

Prof. Jin is a global economist and Professor of Finance at The HKUST, where she chairs the Center for Macro-Finance and Geo-economics at the Institute for Financial Research. She is the author of The New China Playbook: Beyond Socialism and Capitalism. She served as a tenured Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2009 to 2024. Prof. Jin holds a BA and PhD from Harvard University.

Her latest book was named one of the Best Books of 2023 by the Financial Times and Fortune Magazine. Prof. Jin’s research focuses on China and the global economy, the US-China technology competition, and global macroeconomics.

She serves on the boards of Richemont Group and Jardine Matheson, and is a member of the economic advisory panel for the World Bank, and a member of CF40. Jin is widely regarded as a leading voice bridging the East and West, and has been profiled in The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine. She is also a regular contributor of opinion pieces for the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and other major publications.

Dr. Malina NGAI
Group CEO, AS Watson

As Group Chief Executive Officer of AS Watson Group, Malina leads the world’s largest international health and beauty retailer, generating annual revenue of US$26 billion and operating over 17,000 O+O stores across 12 retail brands in 31 markets. Founded as a small dispensary in Hong Kong, the Group is celebrating its 185th Anniversary this year.

Malina started her career in corporate communications, she later led international teams across investment, technology, branding and sustainability. She became Group COO in 2013, CEO of AS Watson (Asia & Europe) in 2019, and Group CEO in May 2024. She has driven the Group’s customer, digital and big data strategy, digital transformation, and international strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers. Malina has been named one of Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Asia 2025, ranking 6th on the list and standing out as the only retail leader among the top 10.

She holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in business administration, and a master’s degree in finance. She won a bronze medal in rowing for Hong Kong at the Asian Games and is active in public service.

Teresa KO

Ms. Teresa KO

Often described as an icon in Hong Kong’s legal sector, Teresa recently concluded a remarkable 37-year career with Freshfields, a global elite law firm, including 32 years a partner and China Chairman, and as founder of the firm’s Asia equity capital markets practice.

A trailblazer, Teresa earned a first-class master’s degree in law from Jesus College, Cambridge. She has led many pioneering Hong Kong IPOs and M&A transactions, including eight of the ten largest IPOs in Hong Kong. She was the first women to chair the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Listing Committee, championing new requirements for board diversity and greater representation of women. She held public appointments with SFC and the HKMA, served as co-vice chair of the IFRS Foundation, and contributed to the task force and steering committee establishing the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Teresa is passionate about sustainability and providing growth opportunities for youth and women in Hong Kong.

Teresa is a member of the finance and business committee of M+ and, since 2025, a nonexecutive director of Chanel Limited.

David Day

Mr. David DAY (2011 Kellogg-HKUST EMBA & 2024 MSc FinTech alumnus)
Group Head of Sales, APAC, London Stock Exchange Group

Based in Singapore, David is Group Head of Sales, APAC for London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). He was formerly a Group Director and Head of North Asia for LSEG, which in a combination with Refinitiv is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.

Prior to joining Refinitiv, David was a Managing Director in the APAC financial services business of IHS Markit. Previously, he was Head of APAC and Managing Director for financial services solutions provider Ipreo. David has held strategy, business development and investment banking roles at various firms including Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

David holds an MBA from the Kellogg‐HKUST Executive MBA Program, an MS in Financial Technology from HKUST and a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is currently pursuing an MS in Law from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Chris Pereira

Mr. Chris PEREIRA (2021 MBA alumnus)
Founder & CEO, iMpact 

Chris is a leading expert in corporate strategy, PR, and corporate branding, and a trusted advisor on global expansion for Chinese companies.

Before founding iMpact, which has served over 400 clients across global markets, Chris was Senior Director of Global Public Affairs at Huawei. With over 20 years of experience living and working in China, Chris is fluent in Chinese and has advised more than 100 companies, including Fortune Global 500 firms. He is the author of New Going Global and Trust: The Golden Key to the Globalization of Chinese Enterprises.

Chris writes for outlets including Fortune, Forbes, South China Morning Post, TMTPost, 36Kr, and China Daily, and is frequently interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, Nikkei, CCTV, Xinhua and other media. He is also a regular speaker at leading universities and business forums, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Pennsylvania.

He holds an MBA from HKUST and mentors at the International Business School of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

Stone SHI

Mr. Stone SHI (2012 MBA alumnus)
CEO, Mayborn Group

Stone is CEO of Mayborn Group, a British heritage and global baby and parent-care company with a presence in more than 60 countries and the home of world-leading brand Tommee Tippee.

Stone is a specialist in navigating the intersection of consumer goods, technology, investment, and private equity-backed businesses. He began his career at Procter & Gamble in 1998 before moving to the forefront of the digital economy, where he held executive leadership roles spanning Amazon in Asia then UK / Europe and Alibaba’s international consumer business. He has also worked as an entrepreneur and VC investor, backing and advising early-stage technology ventures.

Stone holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science from Sichuan University, and earned his MBA from HKUST (2009–2011), a formative experience that helped shape his transition from consumer goods into the technology sector. He also holds an Executive MBA from London Business School (2017-2019). Stone serves as a member of the HKUST Business School Alumni Advisory Board.
